Weekly Wants

Hello again, I'm so happy that it's finally Friday and it's such a beautiful day today. The sun is shinning and my thermometer is reading a high of 20c, yay spring is here and I just want to be outside!

So what do I want this week? Anything from the Built By Wendy Spring '09 collection. All of the clothes are just so light and airy looking, which is totally fitting the mood I'm in right now. Oh, I can't wait till it's warm enough to bring out all my little sundresses! Ok well that's it from me, I'm going to go and enjoy the sunshine. xo Lilly

Ballerinas

I could spend hours going through the LIFE photo archives. It's so interesting to look through all the old photos, it's like going back in time. My favorite by far are the pictures of ballerinas from Paris and New York taken in the 1930's. I just love all the tulle! Makes me sad that I dropped out of ballet when I was five!
Oh and I want to thank everyone who has left me a comment so far, it means so much! Unfortunately things have been a little slow around here because life has been pretty crazy lately. Obviously I picked a bad time to try and start this blog but I promise the craziness should stop in the next week or so and I will do my best to post on a regular bases. xo Lilly

Weekly Want

Wow, it's only been a week since I started this blog and already I'm failing terribly!! This past week has just been super busy for me. Hopefully the long weekend will give me a chance to catch up on things.

So here is the Weekly Want, so what if it's a day late, right? When I saw these Luella sunglasses on ASOS I feel in love with them. I really like the colour and the shape of them, they look a bit retro. And look at the little cut out hearts on the arms! At $234 they're not exactly on the cheap side but I really love them so I may have to save up for them or wait till they go on sale. Or of course I could always look for a knock off pair. I'm going to sunny Las Vegas in May and will definitely need to bring a pair of shades. The ones I have now are pretty beat up so I think I deserve a new pair, don't you think !?!

I hope the Easter bunny is good to everyone this weekend! My mom gave me a pack of Marshmallow Peeps last night and I've eaten all but two! I'm starting to feel sick!!

I Heart Dave

For all those Torontonians out there I'm sure you were just as sad as I was yesterday to see Dave Duvall retire. He's been on CTV reporting the weather for over 48 years! I, like many others, have watched him since I was a kid and I'm gonna miss him! No one can draw backwards like Dave can! Congrates Dave!! Have a great weekend everyone!

Weekly Wants

When I'm playing around on this great world wide web of ours I always find so many things that I want, be it clothes, shoes, books, furniture, whatever. I'll see something that I want and will go back and look at it hundreds of times, wishing that could have it and make it my own. Unfortunately money is a little tight at the moment so these things stay "wants" and never actually make there way home to me so that I can care for them and give them the love that they truly deserve. So with that said I've decided that I'm going to make a Weekly Wants feature, and it will probably be done on Wednesdays just to keep the "W" theme in tacked. Basically I'll post about the nice, pretty things that I've found on the Internet each week, because I figure if I can't have it then I may as well let you, my reader(s) have a chance, right??

So this weeks want comes from Anthropologie. I just love this bra and bloomers set so much! Who doesn't want to wear a pair of pretty bloomers? Forget the thong, bloomers all the way! And look at the gorgeous lace detail on the bra! The lace gives it a sort of antique or vintage feel, like it could be something my grandma might have wore when she was young.
